As people, we all have dreams that are quite the same. With The Palestinian Dream we want to bring the dreams of Palestinians closer to home.

In November 2023, the creative industry was largely silent while Gaza was facing a humanitarian catastrophe. Together with 60+ filmmakers and creatives, The Palestinian Dream was created to break that silence.

The film tells the story of a young girl trapped in Gaza who, despite everything, keeps dreaming. Dreams we all recognise - but for her, they are violently interrupted. By focusing on what connects us as people, the film brings an unimaginable reality close to home.

I was responsible for the social media campaign, translating the film into a shareable narrative without stripping it of its meaning in the fast pace of social media. Working closely with the full team, the content was shaped to start conversations and encourage people to speak up.

Within the first 24 hours, the film reached over 200K views. The campaign was supported by Oxfam Novib and shared by national and international influencers like Boutaïna Azzabi Ezzaouia, Nasrdin Dchar, Nora Gharib, Sonata Skaf en Lotte van Eijk. But what stayed with us most wasn’t the reach, but the response. Messages came in from all over the world, including from Palestine.
“As an Arab, I always have the feeling that there is only us in this. Thank you for
giving us hope in this great nightmare. This is the most precious piece of art ever.”
For many, the campaign opened conversations that hadn’t been happening before.
